Kpop fans finds multiple clues suggesting that former (G)I-DLE member Soojin is mentioned in the <Revenge> MV.

Fans spotted a document in the background with a date April 4, 2021, which is Soojin's birthday. Also, 2021 is the last year that Soojin was active under the name of (G)I-DLE on their SNS platform. Also, some fans suggested that the burnt apartment of MV symbolizes the last (G)I-DLE album with Soojin - "I BURN". There are also discovery that a profile-like document with 6 fingerprints are present in the MV background, possibly symbolizing 6-member (G)I-DLE.

The setting of family abuse and personalities in the MV also reflects the different sides and emotions of Soojin. The MV and song overall are therefore preceived as symbolizing a revenge from Soojin and (G)I-DLE, who suffered from the bullying scandal.

The song was composed and lyrics are written with the participation Soyeon, a member of (G)I-DLE.

Soojin left the group on August 14, 2021, due the an anonymous accusition of bullying, it was later referred as a scandal. However, no legal actions were taken. Soojin debuted under BRD Communications as a solo artist in 2023 with debut mini-album AGASSY, with great streaming performance.
